As of January 01, 2007 Rare Gases and oxygen mixtures, compressed were removed from the Department of Transportation's Table of Hazardous Materials in order to harmonize the Hazardous Materials Regulations with the UN Model Regulations. Effective January 01, 2008 UN numbers and shipping descriptions for Rare Gases and oxygen mixtures must be changed and can no longer legally appear on shipping papers, labels as markings or on Material Safety Data Sheets.
